While origniating far from the sea, James was drawn into a career with the U.S. Navy. James was stationed at the naval base, Naval Station Fake, located in the San Fransico Bay. Then a few years later was stationed on a battleship homeported in Mobile, AL.

In 1990 decided to began his civilian legal career after moving to the suburbs of Washington, D.C.

While in Washing D.C., James continued his service in the naval reserve with military value of devotion and dedication to the mission assigned.

In his freetime, he likes to take his canoe to rivers he has not explored and kayak. James is also very passionate about cars and takes great pride in his Alpha Romeo 4C.

James established James Harris, LLP, to focus on providing maritime law counsel and respresnetation to law firms and individual clients. James now bring the same dedication to the firm's clients and matters as he applied in his mmilitary assignments and previous civilan positions - prompt and cogent advice, objective analysis, considered judgement and zealous advocacy.
